Fresh - April | '24

Fresh IPA, a rolling, ever changing, monthly series of one offs, brewed in small batches and available only from our brewery outlets and only while stocks last. Each batch is an opportunity to try a new brewery fresh IPA, unfiltered and unfined, showcasing a unique combination of yeast, malt and hops. Just fun, fresh hoppy beer at its best.

The hop harvest is over, time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of all that labour. FRESH April is loaded with light lager malt, chitted wheat, and rolled and malted oats for an extra thick milkshake haze.

A touch of Idaho 7 in the whirlpool infusing April with a deep tropical back-note, then a heavy dry hop of Citra, Nelson and Talus, with a finishing shot of Riwaka liquid hop Kief. When you crack your can, there's that classic instant 'pop' of hop aroma.

It pours like pineapple juice and coconut milk, with a dense smoothie body and thick white head. Aromas packed with lifted citrus - mandarin peel and crushed lemongrass. This follows through into the palate, with juicy mandarin and cumquat dominating, backed up with sweet old fashioned Milk Bottle lolly notes, a touch of light coconut and hints of lime leaf and lemongrass. It's a super smooth way to ease into April.
